Quilting for Humanity Society was formed in Athabasca, Alberta in 2005. The primary mandate is to provide quilts for those in need by distribution through a number of not-for-profit societies or organizations. Athabasca volunteers get together in the basement of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 103 once a month to make quilts to donate to those in need in the Athabasca area.
